Sophie D’Souza is a New York State licensed Physical Therapist who received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from SUNY Geneseo. Sophie’s career at Cynergy began during one of her last clinical affiliations as a student and she is excited to come back to work with the Cynergy team as a full-time physical therapist.
Sophie became interested in the field of physical therapy after having experienced it many times as a patient. As a result of playing soccer through high school, Sophie needed physical therapy for multiple ankle injuries and surgeries. Throughout her physical therapy experience as a patient and interacting with various doctors along the way, she saw the difference that a committed physical therapist makes in a rehabilitation experience. Sophie is excited about the opportunity to work with patients one-on-one to give that full commitment and individualization to all her patient interactions.
In her free time, Sophie loves participating in various fitness classes, visiting coffee/cocktail bars, and spending time with family and friends.
