Spending time with friends & family
Simran Anand MS, OTR/L is a New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist who received her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at Seton Hall University. She started her career in hand therapy as a hand therapy aide throughout graduate school and then completed both of her fieldwork placements in different hand therapy settings. During her time as a student, Simran evaluated, treated, and created intervention plans for patients with a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions– ranging from common diagnoses to more complex diagnoses. Simran also had the opportunity to rehabilitate UE patients at New Jersey’s top two hospitals – Hackensack Medical Center & St Joseph Hospital.
Simran’s treatment always focuses on putting the patient first; using therapeutic rapport along with evidence-based practice to provide not only quality rehabilitation but also empathy to ensure that the patient always feels comfortable and understood.
“Medicine adds days to life, Occupational Therapy adds life to days” – perfectly describes why Simran is passionate about Occupational Therapy. Your hands allow you to do everything in your daily life, and they deserve to be treated with the best, quality care! Simran believes that trust is important when it comes to treating the most functional part of your body (the upper extremity), which is why one-on-one treatment is so important to her. Her goal is to treat patients holistically so that they can go back to doing all the activities that they love to do. Outside of the office, Simran loves to travel, go to concerts, try new restaurants, spend time with her family and friends, and can always find a reason to go shopping.
