Joshua Ross is a passionate physical therapist who graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Hunter College. His journey into physical therapy was deeply influenced by his personal experience with chronic back pain and a significant injury involving herniated
discs, which sparked a profound understanding of the challenges patients face. These experiences have fueled his commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to help others reclaim their mobility and improve their quality of life.
During his graduate studies, Joshua completed rotations in neurological rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedics settings, where he gained extensive experience treating a wide array of
conditions. His work with individuals from diverse backgrounds has equipped him with a broad perspective on addressing various musculoskeletal conditions and tailoring treatments to meet unique needs.
His background also includes a dual degree in English and Psychology from
CUNY Baruch College, which enhanced his skills in communication, critical thinking, and understanding human behavior—qualities that greatly enrich his approach to patient care.
Additionally, he has been a certified personal trainer since 2019, working at a tennis and squash club, where he developed a deep understanding of fitness and its role in rehabilitation. This
experience has further enhanced his holistic approach to health and wellness
Outside of his professional life, Joshua stays active through weightlifting, rock climbing, hiking, and traveling. These activities not only support his physical health but also provide him with
valuable insights into rehabilitation and wellness. His enthusiasm for helping patients recover and achieve their goals is a driving force in his practice, reflecting his dedication to improving the lives of those he works with.
